This policy explains what personal information Next IT Inc (“we”, “us”) collects through this website, nxit.ca, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. Information we handle for managed-service clients is covered by our agreements with those clients.

What we collect and why
Information you send us. If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. We use it only to reply to you and to follow up on your enquiry. The form is processed by our website host, Netlify, which also records technical details of the submission (such as your IP address and browser type) and may use a spam filter to check messages. If you email or phone us directly, we receive whatever you choose to share.
Website usage information. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located, and what type of device and browser they use. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We use this information only to improve the website. You can opt out with your browser settings or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Newsletter. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address, and your first name and the topics you are interested in if you choose to give them. We use them only to send you the emails you asked for, based on the topics you picked. Subscriptions are managed through Mailchimp (Intuit Mailchimp), which stores this information and sends the emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, or by contacting us, and we will stop sending you messages.
Information your browser sends to other services. Some parts of the site load content from other providers, which means your browser connects to their servers and they can see your IP address:
- our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and
- our contact page shows a map from OpenStreetMap, which is run by the OpenStreetMap Foundation.
We do not control how these providers handle that information. Please see their own privacy policies for details.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the website and respond to you, such as our website host (Netlify), our email provider, Mailchimp (for our newsletter), and Google (for analytics and fonts), and when the law requires it.
Where information is stored
Some of these providers are located outside Canada, for example in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed there and may be subject to the laws of those countries.
How long we keep it
We keep messages and enquiries only as long as we need them to respond to you and for our business records, and then delete them. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings we choose in Google Analytics.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to our use of it at any time, subject to legal or contractual requirements. Email us at [email protected] and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Children
This website is intended for business users and is not directed at children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
